Connection Cards for August 17, 2008

So I'm going to start a new section on the ol' blogaroo. I had a conversation with a friend at the Dodger game last week and I realized a bit more depth how much we as a staff get to see what is going on behind the scenes here at the church in people's lives by reading through the Connection Cards. So, what I want to do is take a few selections, hopefully every week, and post them up to encourage the rest of the body here at theMovement so we can all see how God is working in people's lives.

I gotta be honest though, this is usually a stack of around 400, so to pick 10 or so is tough, there is SO MUCH that God is doing in people's lives, reavealing His love, showing His faithfulness, it's awesome.

And of course, this will be completely anonymous, I will not only omit names but any other specific clues by adding my own inserted words to protect people's privacy. Sometimes I will also paraphrase to either make it more succinct or correct grammatical errors.

**I raised my hand today. I give all I can; I hope God has, too. Thank You for everything You have given today.

**I realized today that I am living 50/50 Heaven/Hell. NOT ANYMORE! PRAISE GOD!

**Lord, I know You love me. i do feel alone sometimes...a lot of times, actually. I hate my situation, my addictions, my stealing. I know this is not Your plan for me, give me the strength. I love You, God.

**Today, August 17, you touched me. When I was young I lost my great grandma. I loved her and I miss her 24/7. Sometimes I feel alone, but I don't think I will anymore because I raised my hand today.

**Because of Your grace my boyfriend said he would attend church with me next week. Please reveal Yourself to him, Lord!

**My spouse and I are going on 6 years of marriage. The Lord delivered us from a Divorce about 5 1/2 years ago. Thank You!

**I have been fighting with a family member for years. Since coming to theMovement, I have been praying that God would show me His faithfulness. Right after I started praying, I received a letter from this family member!
